Animal Lovers From Our Earliest Memories...
I’m Becca, and along with my husband Quint, we have been surrounded by animals throughout our lives. Quint's upbringing on his grandmother’s Thoroughbred racing farm in Maryland provided him with extensive experience in the equestrian world. From helping with foaling and caring for horses to working as an exercise rider, Quint developed a deep bond with these majestic animals. His family also raised Jack Russell Terriers and kept a variety of farm animals, including goats, chickens, and beef cattle. Quint’s early fascination with horses evolved into a career as an equine podiatrist, or farrier, which he pursued for about 20 years. Unfortunately, a back injury eventually led him to explore a new career path. |
Animals My Best Friends...
My own journey with animals began in childhood. I started riding horses around the age of 5 or 6 and was fortunate enough to have my first pony by the time I was 9. My passion for riding and training horses was complemented by a keen interest in equine behavior, which I studied extensively through high school. Dogs were also an integral part of my life from an early age, and I have vivid memories of our Labrador Retriever, Goldy Pup. She was a classic yellow lab with an exceptionally sweet disposition. Growing up in the Colorado Mountains, Goldy Pup was not only a beloved playmate but also a protector and companion to me and my two brothers. Losing her to cardiac arrest after accidentally ingesting a small amount of antifreeze was one of the most heartbreaking experiences of my childhood. |
Interest in Canine and Equine Behavior Piqued...
Another influential dog in my life was Sammy- my first puppy. He was a Maltese who faced various behavior issues. His challenges ignited my passion for understanding canine behavior and the importance of early socialization. This journey led me to rehabilitate rescue dogs and assist dog owners with behavior problems during my high school years, deepening my awareness of the importance of positive early experiences on puppies mental health and development.
After we married, we continued to enjoy the company of both horses and dogs, but it wasn’t until 2017 that we decided to embark on the adventure of being English Labrador Retriever Breeders. I combined my lifelong love for animals with a desire to create the best family companions possible. Additionally, my passion for photography allowed me to capture the heartwarming moments of our puppies and kids growing up together.

Our First Mama as Labrador Retriever Breeders...KC was our first mama as Labrador Retriever Breeders. She was a wonderful American Lab who was great with our kids and produced several litters of lively and affectionate pups. However, in 2018, we were introduced to the English Labrador Retriever and were immediately captivated by their calm demeanor and stunning appearance. The distinct differences in temperament and structure between American and English Labs led us to focus exclusively on being English Labrador Breeders. We often joke that English Labs are ‘born perfect’—their agreeable nature and willingness to please make training a relatively smooth and easy process.
